Card of the Day - Three of Wands Reversed

Misc. No Comments »

There sure are a lot of Wands lately. Three of Wands shows a matured man looking out for the ships coming in. On the Robin Wood card I was pulled to the gryphon on the cape, the sunset, the ships and the maturity of the man. I am not familiar with gryphons. According to Robin, gryphons represent strength, fearlessness, vision and grace. In the reversed position I feel the lack of these qualities. Sunset to me feels like near completion of a phase. Almost time to enjoy the fruits of labor. In reversed it feels like not seeing the returns. The ships in the upright position should be coming in to bring the goods. But in reversed they seem to be sailing away. (With reversed cards I take a moment to look at them in reversed, then I turn them upright to get closer looks.) The mature man has worked hard but he still can’t see the reward coming to him.

This card has shown my mood and thoughts of this morning. Discouragement and disappointment with certain development of our company. I hope it is just reflecting my thoughts and no more.

Note: while shuffling, Nine of Swords flew out. And so did The Chariot Reversed, faced down.

Update, 04.12.2006, 8:31 am, more news of delay on getting paid. That’s really not surprising. This came up in the cards sometime ago, but I can’t remember which card.

When a card comes flying out but remain faced down, does it mean something that may or may not come to the surface?
