Card of the Day - The Hermit Reversed

Misc. No Comments »

I was feeling unsure this morning. Not sure if I could get this right today. But I picked a card anyway. The Hermit Reversed. The red shoes caught my eyes immediately. Red represents courage and passion. The shoes represent a journey. Do I lack the courage and passion for the journey? The Hermit shows the journey inward. Actually, it shows the result of understanding oneself. He has enough wisdom to light the whole world. He is standing on the top of the mountain, but I did not see that at first glance. I saw the mountain in the distance as if there’s still some way to go before reaching it. I’m not getting this card. My thoughts are that it shows my lack of willingness to do what’s necessary to reach that inner peace. I checked the book “Tarot Plain and Simple” by Anthony Louis. Its definition is a person who is too self-involved, closed off. Hmmm… that can also be true sometimes. But I saw the red shoes first… What would be the indicator of an aloof person? on the card I mean. Maybe the lantern when reversed?

Thoughts, 8:37 am, I need to do serious meditation.
Observation, 3:58 pm, I was quite irritable this morning. I wanted to be left alone. You know like those old wizards in the movies. You travel long and hard in search of answers only to get the door slammed at your face. Yeah, I was like that wizard. LOL Really don’t know why. But once I was aware of it, the meditation practice kicked in. Observe and let go. No sense hanging on to bad feelings.
