Three-card Saturday

30 Dec

This reading makes me kind of depressed. :-( But I think it’s kind of positive in a way too. I have Ten of Wands, The Tower and Three of Swords Reversed.

Ten of Wands is not a surprise. I’ve been informed that there will be a lot of work in the coming week. So it looks like it will be the kind of week that you can’t really see what’s ahead. Just one task at a time as they come. The Tower is scary. It represents shattering of an old image. It’s dramatic. It’s usually needed to make transformation happen. Necessary growth. It is a major card so that it is probably life changing. I’ve been getting a lot of major cards lately.

It is a small comfort to see Three of Swords reversed after The Tower. Healing of the heart. Pain is ending even though it is still there. On the Robin Wood card there’s one blade with serrated edge which could cause more pain. It’s handle is deep blue that represents spiritual matters. It’s a very painful matter that’s finally healing. Eek. I am a little depressed now. But I think it’s not a negative reading. Just that the fear of the change is great.

Card of the Day – King of Wands Reversed

29 Dec

Him again, and he’s not using his energy in a productive way.

I think I got a glimpse of him during shuffling. Red was what I saw. When I turned the card over for my reading and I realized that it was his cape. Flaming red. He was so impatient and couldn’t wait for the shuffling to finish. Is that an indication of how the day will go? I think the energy is everywhere. Lack of focus.

Card of the Day – Four of Wands Reversed

28 Dec

Ah. I think the resting period is over. It’s time to resume activity. Four of Wands shows a couple dancing under a canopy held up by four wands. The crystals show red and green, so are the couple’s clothing. Red represents courage, and green represents growth. The harvest is done. It’s time to relax and celebrate. In reversed position I feel that the work is not yet over. More effort is needed.

I guess work is calling already. :? According to the book, a reversed Four of Wands just means that success is delayed. That more effort is needed than expected. Makes sense.

Card of the Day – The Hanged Man Reversed

27 Dec

This is a difficult one for me. When I flipped the card over I was a little startled. It was like the man was looking at me straight on. It looked upright since it’s the reversed of a reversed card. Was I looking at myself? That was a curious reaction to the card.

The Hanged Man is willing to suspend himself to contemplate on higher truth. Looking at things from a different angle. He’s pure and courageous. What about the reversed? Lack of inner working? Unwilling to suspend oneself? Being stubborn? It is also a major card so it has a big warning sign.

Card of the Day – Ten of Cups Reversed

26 Dec

I am not feeling very focused today. So this is going to be a quick one. Ten of Cups shows a happy family. They are happy because of the emotional support they have for one another. Not because of wealth. It is more satisfying to have love for one another than to be rich. In reversed I feel that it shows a craving for that emotional bond. It is definitely lacking. I know just what it is telling me today.

Six of Cups jumped out while shuffling. It appeared reversed too. In very few words, Six of Cups shows childhood memory, youthful idealism. In reversed it can warn of setting oneself up with unrealistic expectations. I think.
