Card of the Day - Knight of Cups Reversed

Cups, Reversed No Comments »

Oy vey! So soon? A court card after not doing reading for a long time.
I know Knight of Cups can mean a message of love. But I am going with my first impression here. And quickly. Yeah, I am running late again.

He looks so calm riding on his sea horse through the tubulent waves. He’s not even spilling a drop from the cup that he’s holding in his right hand. He’s above the emotions. So what can it mean when he’s reversed? Oh oh. A tough time through the emotional waves? It does feel like it right now. But he has to remember that he knows how to be above the turbulence.

Thoughts: 2:30pm. When I first looked at the card this morning, I was drawn to the tail of the sea horse, the knight’s steed. I couldn’t make out what it was at first. The tail is a powerful part of the sea horse that enables it to maneuver in the strong waves. It has no problem riding through it. But if it ever loses control, it can be overpowered by the waves.

In its positive aspect, the crashing waves can indicate passion. The knight is not afraid to show it. He has much to offer. And at the same time he is not overpowered by it. It’s not the kind of passion that stifles. In the reversed aspect, he can be a little out of control. Letting emotions overtake his senses. Letting himself get swallowed up by the waves.
