This King is full of passion. His clothes is all red, orange and yellow, with some blue like the center of a hot fire. He is not as extroverted like the Knight, but his presence definitely demands attention. But somehow today he seems more relaxed. Like he’s saying, “hey, don’t worry about it.” Something like that. He seems a bit more flamboyant today, too. On the Robin Wood card the King holds a wand with clear crystals. The one on the top gives off rays of light that shows clarity. Today I notice that it doesn’t reach far and beyond. In fact, it seems to shine on the King mostly. Boy, he really likes attention.
This card represented my partner many times in the past. But he’s taking a nap at the moment. No very energetic. So I wonder if this could be someone else? Or he will be up and refreshed? We shall see.

Yes. I skipped doing a reading yesterday. I was just so tired. It was also the spinning guild’s monthly meeting and I had to leave the house early.
Three cards I have for the coming week: Four of Swords, Three of Pentacles Reversed, Temperance.
Nice to see the Four of Swords again. And this time in its upright position. The star is there of course. It’s time to hang up the swords and have a real rest. I get a sense of “protection” too. Not really sure what this means. But the trees form a nice enclosed area. Allowing only the starlight shining on the stone figure. A shield lies on top of the figure showing protection again. This resting period doesn’t have a price of vulnerability. The figure is also surround with rose bushes of different colors. Showing passion, courage, purity and joy. This resting is not dull. It enables possibilities for the future.
The Three of Pentacles shows master craftsmanship. When I first saw it showing up reversed I thought, “uh oh. I am not going to improve my skills?” One of my plans for the holidays is to go through books on graphic and web design, webmastering, etc. Does this mean that I won’t be sticking to my plan in the coming week? I am drawn to the green kerchief that the master craftsman wears in the picture. Green symbolizes growth. I am also drawn to the different stages of a work of art being created, showing the step-by-step process. I have to remind myself not to goof off so much.
It’s always great to see Temperance. There is balance through moderation. Not going extreme. Ah ha! The Middle Way. I like it. It goes well with the other two cards too. But I think I really do need to actch up on my learning.

I only have time for a quick reading today and I get The Lovers. I can’t even remember when this card last showed up in my reading. I wish I could spend more time studying it. But I have to go in 10 minutes!
Everything on the card catches my attention. The card shows balance. Coming together of the opposites. Harmony. A perfect union.
I will study this card a little more later in the afternoon. Knight of Swords flew out (exaggerating a little :)) while shuffling. Does that simply mean that I am in a hurry? or is there another message. I’ll look at that later too.
Note: 7:09pm. “Perfect union” isn’t a good description of The Lovers. The harmony between two opposites sometimes take a lot of hard work. The Lovers can indicate that “perfect fit” after two pieces are shaped, molded, sculpted to fit each other perfectly.

Here we go again. A reversed card. Knight of Wands reversed. Does this have anything to do with feeling irritated while shuffling? Maybe that’s going to be how the day goes.
Knight of Wands, ready for anything. He has excess energy. Ready to charge. He holds his wand with a radiant clear crystal pointing forward, illuminating where he’s going. His steed has fire for its mane and tail. It’s as energetic as the rider. But the wand seems to lead them both on a clear path.
In the reversed position, my attention is mostly drawn to the tail of fire. What happens when a horse’s tail is caught on fire? You got the idea. I wonder if today’s theme is of frustration and irritation. Watch that temper.

What could be better than to have The Star after days of reversed energy? A card of hope and inspiration. So much hope that even in reversed position it only means a delayed in fulfilling a wish. And it is not reversed today! This reminds me of the star that was hinted in the Four of Swords Reversed just a few days ago.
The Star shows a woman pouring water from two bowls. One is poured directly into the pool that she has one foot in. The other poured onto the ground forming four streams, making that five streams all together, representing the senses. The water nourishes both the body and the mind. I am especially drawn to the silver bowl which represents the spiritual. It reflects the surrounding, including the star. Does this mean ideas realized? I am also drawn to the distant mountains. Majestic and beautiful, symbolizing the higher knowledge, higher truth, higher attainment. I am also noticing the light rings (aura) around the star. They give me a sense of protection. Maybe even when I feel that there’s no way out of a situation, there’s hope. The Star guides you when you are lost.
Oh, I also got a glimpse of the Ace of Pentacles. It is payday. That’s what it is.
Also got a glimpse of the King of Cups in upright position. A good day for me.
Note: 1:42pm. The Star, unlike The Moon, gives light, not reflecting it. It cannot be covered by any shadow. It is bright and clear.
