Card of the Day - Two of Swords

Swords No Comments »

Difficult choices, that’s what the card represents. I wish I could show you the image on Robin Wood’s card, but I don’t have permission. The woman in the image sits on some sort of ruin. Very old stone structure that’s mostly gone. She’s surrounded by the ocean. The waves lapping at the stones. Sky full of clouds and they are moving fast. It seems to be a fast developing situation that requires attention. She is blindfolded which indicates that it requires intuition. The truth is, the situation may not be so clear.

Even though everything around her is moving at a fast pace, but she sits still, perfectly balanced. Her facial expression is of calm and determination. She holds two swords which are the difficult choices. They seem to be mirror images of each other, but with close inspection they show different hilts. This again indicates the attention required to make the choice. Her hair is jet black just like the High Priestess, the color of the night. She has the inner knowledge.

The moon is new, the situation is new and developing.

Note: 11:23am. Daily horoscope from Tarot.com:

You are being driven by subconscious feelings that now bubble close enough to the surface to have a powerful impact on your life. Usually, it’s simple for you to see the difference between facts and your irrational feelings, but today, with the Moon in Virgo, it’s not so easy. Accept the rumblings of your emotions as messages from your intuitive self. This information may be more valuable than all the facts put together.

Another nudge to use intuition. So much on my mind now. Will I be able to?

(Major arcana images grabbed from this Wikipedia page, minor arcana images from this page. I use Robin Wood Tarot which has different imagery. This is just to give you an idea of the card.)
