Card of the Day - King of Wands

Wands No Comments »

King of Wands appears in my daily readings quite often. I mentioned this before, it very often represents my partner. Of course, it’s not always the case. But today it is probably so, since we will be setting up for a show most of the day. Oh no. I am stuck with all day. :-)
While looking at the image of the king, I realized that his sleeves are trimmed with white fur. Why do you need fur in a desert? It is about how he looks. Not always about practicality. He’s energetic but not overly active like the knight. Friendly. Helpful (to a point). He really likes to be the center of the attention. Sometimes it is “me, me, me” with this king. But you probably won’t notice, or even mind it unless he’s really being ignored. Of course, I am not saying that my partner is this way. This is my observation of the king. ;-) I also noticed that there’s a gentle breeze coming from behind him, making his flame-like cape slightly wrap around his body. I wonder if there’s a significance in this?

(Major arcana images grabbed from this Wikipedia page, minor arcana images from this page. I use Robin Wood Tarot which has different imagery. This is just to give you an idea of the card.)
