Card of the Day – King of Wands

Wands No Comments »

The Wands are back. I am hoping that this king is not being needy today. I think he is going to be helpful. He’s generous and willing to assist. I took my car in for maintenance this morning. That required the help of my partner to drive me home, and the good people at the service department to offer good services.

I should get to know court cards better. They still give a little bit of trouble during reading. I have a copy of “Understanding the Tarot Court” by Mary K. Greer and Tom Little. It’s a good time to open the pages and learn something.

Two cards popped out during shuffling today. Eight of Pentacles and Four of Pentacles Reversed. Eight of Pentacles seems to appear every time I have plans doing crafts. I also had a glimpse of The Hanged Man Reversed which appeared in the weekly reading. Is this a message of ending the suspension or a warning of not doing enough introspecting? I did get Four of Cups yesterday.

Discontent! The man in the picture shows dissatisfaction with what’s in front of him. He has gone inward, to find meaning within himself. But this action is caused by the unhappiness with the outside world, and can sometimes lead to the extreme action of shutting everything out. A cup is materializing in the air next to him. It’s a gift, an offering of help, an inspiration. But he withdrew so deeply into himself that he doesn’t even notice it. Everything continues to grow, to change, to evolve. We must be aware and not simply shutting things out. Shutting things out is not awareness at all. It does not lead to understanding, to realization, to awakening.

Card of the Day – Five of Pentacles Reversed

This is good news. Five of Pentacles means destitute, out in the cold, not getting any assistance. In the reversed position it means accepting help, improving circumstances. Today the pentacles on the window strongly suggest “human conditions”. Meaning the body and the mind. It indicates an improvement. Possibly because of help from a higher source. I am hoping that this is about my mother’s health. I haven’t talked to her today yet. Hopefully I will hear some good news. Crossing my fingers.

While shuffling the Eight of Pentacles popped out. I guess that tells me how my day will be like. :-) Plus, I got a glimpse of The Strength when putting the cards away. Another good sign for good health.

Knight of Swords Reversed, Eight of Cups, The Hanged Man Reversed

Missed a couple of days of reading. With mom’s doctor visit, family visiting and spinning guild meeting, there’s not been a lot of time to do much. Today’s is no exception. I am heading out to the temple in a few, so I can only note the cards and come back to them later. Hopefully I will still be able to get details with them then.

Oh that Knight of Swords… something may happen tonight.

This is reflecting how I am feeling today. Balance and peace. Together with King of Cups that I got for the weekly reading, it shows that I am able to gain that balance again. And the love and compassion is bubbling up. Enough to share with others. My family’s visiting stirred up emotions like so many times before. But they have left me alone for the last couple of days. Giving me time to calm my mind, find my center. I truly feel this. It is through difficulties that we come to treasure peace and tranquility even more.
