“Come on in and get warm,” that’s what I got from the card. Not out in the cold anymore. I also noticed for the first time that some of the snowflakes on the card are drawn with beautiful details of the ice crystals. I didn’t think that I could find a meaning in Robin Wood’s book. But to my surprise, she did put them there to express a particular meaning. They are there to remind us that there are still beautiful things even when we are down and out. They lift our spirit up when we are suffering. Sometimes we just have to look closely. Or look from a different angle.
Four of Wands, King of Cups, Knight of Swords Reversed
In a hurry again. Have to head out to visit mom and then to the temple for a special ceremony for Magha Puja. (Is this what the Four of Wands points to?) King of Cups is always good to see. Knight of Swords Reversed is making an appearance two week in a row. Am I missing a message? I will have to look into that.
The Devil popped out during shuffling.
The Hierophant. Tradition, conformity. Depending on how a person sees it, tradition can bring peace and happiness. Or it can bring the opposite to another person. Controlling, stifling. There are good traditions and there are bad. Today I didn’t see the shining keys in the pope’s hat. In fact, everything seemed tarnished. Just as I pondered what this could mean for the day, my partner reminded me that we will be going to a concert at his church. I was about to whine about it. Then I look down at the card before me. Huh! Could that be it?
Also, I had a glimpse of The Magician when putting the cards away.
Note, 5:13pm, Oh, not only will there be a concert. There also will be an hour-long lecture. The picture is becoming clear! Ha!
No victory today. Six of Wands is a card of success, possibly the kind that’s publicly recognized. It’s quite obvious what the reversed meaning is. But because of the Sun symbols on the card, hopefully it is a delayed of success. Not a complete failure. And because of a glimpse of the Eight of Wands Reversed during shuffling, I am thinking that it is a delay.
