In its upright position, this card can mean solitary wealth. Everything is in order, well-controlled. Today it is in its reversed position. I keep thinking, “the gate is open.” On Robin Wood’s card there is a golden gate with pentacles on it. It is closed, keeping the wealth in. Also it shows how everything is secured, in order. Will the gate be opened today? The purple of the woman’s skirt also jumps out at me. Purple represents royalty. What does this mean?
Grieving what’s lost. Not picking up the pieces. Unable or not wanting to move beyond the grief. There is a choice to move toward freedom. Freedom from all this suffering and stress. But the individual is so attached to what’s lost that he just can’t see anything else.
This doesn’t make sense at the moment. Although CB went to a funeral this morning, but I am not so sure this points to that. Oh well. It’s only my first day back at reading the cards.
I have an urge to continue my tarot journey. With my Mom’s passing and the recent job changes, I was too preoccupied to remember my tarot learning. Things are settling down. I’ll restart in a couple of days.
