M’s Cards for Sunday 12.23.2007

22 Dec

Two of Wands, Eight of Cups

This pair seems to indicate a new phase too. With a sense of leaving the old behind to create room for the new. Two of Wands seems to say that you have a good grasp of the world again, and you can expect good results with your hard work. This is after some inner adjustment to let go of what hasn’t been working for you.

Eight of Cups is leaving the old attachments behind. Gathering up courage to face the unknown. With it a new phase begins (as indicated by the moon). The future may not be clear, but one thing is sure, and that is you cannot advance without moving away from the old.

Well M, have a good day cleaning out the old and welcoming the new tomorrow. I hope this doesn’t mean more house chores.

Card of the Day – Nine of Cups Reversed

30 Nov

Nine of Cups

Not liking this at all. A reversed wish card. Not getting one’s wish. Can mean overindulgence. Self-centeredness. Seems to be connected to The Devil? There’s a need to inspect what’s necessary and what’s not. What’s real and what’s only a dream.

Nine of Pentacles Reversed jumped out during shuffling. Yeah, yeah. I already know that I will be letting go a big chunk of my savings to pay for the vet’s bill when we go pick up our dog.

Note, 12.2.2007, 4:47pm, Friday was an expensive day. We sent our dog to the vet to have his years checked for infection, and grooming after. Later, the doctor talked to us about a lump on his leg. So we gave him the OK to do a biopsy. Altogether I spent nearly $500. I remember that one of the reversed meaning for Nine of Pentacles is “problem with pet.” Hopefully the test result will show only fatty tissue, and we will just have to give Tristan more exercise!

I had something to say about the Nine of Cups Reversed, too. But I just can’t remember what. :: sigh :: But look! Both are Nine cards. I’ll have to check what significance that has.

Note, 12.4.2007, 10:15am, doggie’s lump turned out to be a cyst. Nothing to worry about at this time. Just have to see if it grows bigger.

M’s Card for Thursday 11.29.2007

28 Nov

Page of Cups Reversed

Page of Cups

Page of Cups is a imaginative child. A budding artist. Developing emotion. In a reversed position, it can be a overly sensitive person. A dreamer. Spoiled child. Someone that has a little trouble controlling their emotions. M, so many Pages in your readings. Surrounded by kids?

I have to be honest though. I haven’t been able to have quiet time to do readings. Always something happening when I bring out the cards. So let me know what you think of it when you can. As always, no pressure! :-)

Card of the Day – King of Cups

27 Nov

King of Cups

King of Cups, the least physically active of all four Kings. Don’t know why but I just wanted to point that out. He is more interested in the inner workings. In touch with his feelings. He is very well balanced. No matter what kind of waves are crashing at his feet, he stays calm and cheerful. He’s not ignoring them though. He understands them and are not influenced by them.

This King sometimes represents me. (Yes Marianne :-) ) I think it’s going to be a calm and joyful day. The Sun also made an appearance during shuffling. Wonderful!

Card of the Day – Ace of Cups

20 Nov

Ace of Cups

Emotional fulfillment. Renewal of love. Abundance of joy. Sounds like a nice day! The Sun also popped out during shuffling. Life is good indeed.

I don’t know if Robin Wood intended to have a meaning to this little detail of her drawing. Today I notice little bubbles in the flow of water from the cup to the pond below. The overflowing of water represents the abundance of love that flows out and reach others. This is not a selfish love. Bubbles contain air, and they are going with the flow into the pond, providing much needed oxygen to the living creatures below. This sharing of love gives nourishment to all beings. It is compassion.

Note, 11.21.2007, 10:25am, I did not realize this during the reading. Yesterday morning I gave two small loans on Kiva. It is something that I do regularly. Was that the sharing of love? Providing a little oxygen to communities that are in need?
