Card of the Day – Three of Cups

29 Oct

Three of Cups

This makes sense. I had an eventful weekend at the temple. Today I am just going to take a break. On Robin Wood’s card it shows three dancers. Past, Present and Future. I tend to focus on the Present. The red flower on her dress catches my attention. Red is for courage and passion. Looks like I’ll be enjoying activities that I feel passionate about. I am thinking… knitting! :-)

The card shows a celebration. Happiness and enjoyment. It also has an art theme. Things done with passion, which bring much satisfaction.

Three-card Saturday

21 Apr

Three of Wands, Queen of Wands, Six of Cups

Looking positive here. I don’t have much time this morning. So I’ll quickly go through them and maybe come back if I have more.

Three of Wands, ships come in. Hopefully this is work related. Hopefully this means that what was delayed finally arrives. We sure do need that. Queen of Wands, a passionate woman. Motherly type. The black cat can represent home life. She enjoys making a happy home. I hope, hope that this is someone that I’ve been looking for to care for my mother. Mom is a lung cancer patient and needs full time assistance. Six of Cups, good old days. Everything looks rosy on the card. In fact, if you look at it closely, it looks a little like an illustration out of a children’s book. Not everything is realistic. The mind has a way of looking pass some of the negatives. But still, this can mean a moment of peace and happiness. Just don’t let it cloud the mind.

Card of the Day – Three of Cups

It’s a celebration! That’s exactly what it feels like right now. The dancer of the “future” is in focus today. A toast to a bright future! Birds flying in the cloudless sky. There’s a sense of freedom. I also know for a fact that a craft project will be completed today. :-)

Card of the Day – Three of Wands Reversed

29 Jan

First, I did a reading on Saturday but the post was saved as a draft. Duh! I skipped Sunday. We head out real early in the morning and didn’t have time to get a card. Oh well.

I got Three of Wands reversed today. Sort of opposite of Nine of Cups from Saturday’s reading. I feel that this is more “missing the boat” than “ship not coming in”. It seems that the person sets his sights too far into the distance and missing the boats. The age of the person seems important too. And he’s an older gentleman. Have I missed the Nine of Cups? Hope not. I know what I wish for the most at the moment.

Card of the Day – Three of Cups

23 Jan

How interesting. What can this mean today? Out of the three dancers on the Three of Cups, the “present moment” stands out more for me today. She represents courage and growth. She holds hands with the “past” because that’s how she ends up being “in the moment”. Three of Cups is a celebration of good work done. Work is done and you can afford to have a little fun. Emotional fulfillment.

Note, 1.24.2007, 11:56am, I made a mistake yesterday. The dancer of “the present” wasn’t holding hands with “the past”. It was “the future”. If I paid attention to the phases of the moon on each dancer’s cup, I wouldn’t had made that mistake.

Note, 1.26.2007, 4:44pm, this is another confusing one. Gosh, I should’ve done this note earlier. One thing that stood out in the memory was that I checked the book after a while and found that Three of Cups could also represent renewal of health. That sort of clicked at that moment. Looking back, I felt great that day. I thought I completely recovered from whatever illness I caught on Sunday. It returned the next day, but I truly had a great day on Tuesday. I did a lot of knitting.

(Major arcana images grabbed from this Wikipedia page, minor arcana images from this page. I use Robin Wood Tarot which has different imagery. This is just to give you an idea of the card.)
